We launched Women Today, Women Tomorrow, the campaign for Murray Edwards College in March 2016.
We want to encourage more young women to join us, offer greater support for them to achieve their highest potential and send them into the world to do extraordinary things.
We want our young women to get the best out of Cambridge and to leave us feeling that ‘the world is their oyster’ with the deep confidence in themselves that will make this possible.
To achieve this, our fundraising campaign aims to raise £15 million in the next 5 years. We are already well on our way to £4 million thanks to the generosity of numerous alumnae and friends. Thank you for your outstanding support.
Our ambitions
Our vision is to encourage more women into STEMM subjects, providing Role Models as teachers, through funding more Fellowships.
We aim to extend our innovative Pathways days to a wider group of young women and their advisors.
We aim to encourage more UK students to achieve their full potential, by providing more bursary support for graduate students.
We will provide personal development for tomorrow’s leaders, creating a new leadership programme in our unique Gateway programme.
We will ensure that women reach their career ambitions, providing a bespoke mentoring programme.
We will continue to speak out about inequality - especially where we see it in the workplace - undertaking research which sheds light on the issues that our women face.
We will make women artists visible - building the profile of our globally important collection of art by women.
We will complete a massive overhaul of our Grade II* listed buildings, to ensure quality accommodation for our students well into the 21st Century.
